Okay, I'm thinking we can use a simple square base now. There's no mountain to go over, so there's no need for it. Also, a square is easier to work off considering our materials.
My plan also included a way to flip the crates to get bonus points. If we use 2 screws on a serbo that go into the holes on the crates, we can just turn the servo to flip the crates.
This year, I'd prefer to stay away from arms. Though it is useful for many purposes, it's inefficient. Turns of the main body is amplified in the arm, so it is hard to line up. Also, it is difficult to hold up. Also, the best robots in the competition last year was the ones that loaded directly onto the robot, rather than an arm.

ReplyDeleteLayman's terms: Square Base
I agree with Litao. We should also use 2 wheels spinning to suck in balls. This video gives a good example

I like Joe's idea of the two wheels because it would provide an easy and efficient way to collect and carry the balls so we can score more points
ReplyDeleteWhat about stacking creates???
ReplyDeleteHow is that going to help?
